Description: X-ray beam monitoring will play a critical role in the success of NSLS II beamlines. This workshop will review existing and emerging x-ray beam position and flux monitors. Applications of these monitors to obtain required beamline performance and stability will be discussed, with an emphasis on experience at other modern 3rd generation light sources. The goal will be to inform beamline designers and users of the systems and monitors which are available, and provide a forum for user feedback that will lead to better equipment designs.
