To register for the Users' Meeting and Workshops, complete all sections below. Submit one form per registrant. Meeting materials will be provided on arrival. Registration is open to the public.

  • Pricing
    • Early registration fee (prior to April 27):
      - $220 (non-students)
      - $110 (students)

      General registration fee (after April 27):
      - $245 (non-students)
      - $135 (students) 

      Meeting registration includes unlimited access to all workshops (with lunch and coffee breaks), Monday evening's poster session preview and exhibitor reception, Tuesday and Wednesday's plenary sessions, and a copy of the meeting program and workshop materials. Workshop lunches and coffee breaks are provided by our exhibitors and sponsors. Attendees pay no portion of the expenses for meals listed above.

      The plenary sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday are free of charge and open to all. (Registration is required).
      Free plenary sessions do not include the Main Meeting Luncheon or the Exhibitor Reception and Poster Session.
      If you would like to attend either the Main Meeting Luncheon or the Exhibitor Reception and Poster Session, an additional fee of $20 - general/$10 - students is required for each event. Please select the event when you register.

      Social Events:
      Banquet: $50.00 general; $25 students/post docs
      Main Meeting Luncheon: $20 -general/$10 -students NOTE: the luncheon fee is included with general and student registration fees. If you have not registered as a general or student attendee and would like to attend the luncheon, this fee applies.
      Exhibitor Reception and Poster Session: $20 -general/$10 -students (see above note)

  • Important Deadlines
    • If you planning to participate in the Poster Session, you must submit a poster title when you register for the meeting.

      April 13:
      Student Participation Award

      April 20: Last day to apply for the Julian Baumert PhD Thesis Award.

      April 20: Foreign nationals (including speakers and organizers) who plan to stay onsite at BNL must register in BNL's Guest Information System (GIS) no later than April 20 (the link is also provided on your electronic invoice after you submit this form). You must present identification documents at the registration desk. Approval, which can take 30 days or more, must be granted prior to attending the meeting and/or workshops. After April 20, offsite accommodations are required.

      April 27: Last day for early registration fees. Registrations received after April 27 will be at the general rate of $245.
      There will be no refunds for registrations cancelled after April 27.

      May 9: Online registration closes. In-person registration opens on Monday, May 21, Berkner Hall, Room D.

      May 9: Last day to submit a poster.

Social Events

General and student registrations include one ticket for the Welcoming Reception and the Main Meeting Luncheon. Additional tickets for these events and banquet tickets must be purchased separately. Free Plenary Session registrants must purchase tickets for the social events below.

Welcoming Reception: Registered attendees receive one ticket to the Welcoming Reception, compliments of our sponsors and exhibitors. Additional tickets may be purchased for $20 each.

Main Meeting Luncheon: Registered attendees receive one ticket for lunch on Tuesday, compliments of our sponsors and exhibitors. Additional tickets may be purchased for $20 each.

Banquet: All are invited to attend the Users' Meeting Banquet. Tickets are $50/general, $25/students. This year's banquet will be held off-site at Giorgio's in Baiting Hollow, NY.

Payment Information

Please indicate the source of funds for payment of your registration fee only.

Funding Source:  

Registration fees paid for by corporations with private (non-government) funding can be used to offset expenses such as meals, coffee breaks, and entertainment for the meeting and workshops. Registration fees paid for by government sources (and from academic institutions which receive government funding), or from BNL operating accounts cannot be used to offset expenses such as coffee breaks, meals, and entertainment for the meeting and workshops. About 80% of the registration fees received are from government sources and can only be used for "allowable" expenses such as travel for speakers and printing costs for the meeting.

  • If the source of your funding is "private, corporate, or other," may we use your registration fee to offset these expenses? If so, please answer "Yes" below.
  • If the source of your funding is "government" or your institution is "academic" and receives government funding or funding from a BNL operating account, please answer "No" below.

Offset Expenses?  

Disclosure: Meeting and workshop expenses are estimated as accurately as possible based on a fixed number of anticipated attendees. Should there be funds in excess of meeting and workshop related expenses, the Users' Executive Committees reserve the right to utilize such excess funds for allowable expenses which are deemed to be in the best interests of users of NSLS-II and CFN.
